Spellbinder has had a great start to the calendar year with lots going on as usual. Emmett and Maggie have been updating readers about the best events and competition wins in the industry through our newsletter, and Tatianna has done a
fantastic job of populating our blog with lots of resources for our readers this season.
Everyone on the team has been working hard on choosing some fantastic pieces for our Spring 2025 issue. This season’s drama section explores themes of self: the act
of performance is examined through the insightful lens of an aging actor, and a haunting search and rescue tale is told in which a narrator reluctantly discovers the past. Within our fiction collection, our writers explore the tragedies of fragile family dynamics, childhood loss, and acceptance. Our nonfiction section explores the dangers of cults and their impact on one’s relationships, as well as the ways one can re-discover one’s self-worth. The poetry we have in store for you is lyrical, mythical, haunting and beautiful. As for art, we have a digital painting and a photograph, which explore the theme of estrangement in equally impactful but remarkably different ways. This really is a wonderful collection of works so we hope you enjoy reading and viewing them.
Moreover, in the summer of ‘22, we launched our merchandise store on RedBubble. We feel that now is a good time to remind our readers that there is a whole range of hats, tops, hoodies, phone cases, mugs, tote bags, notebooks and magnets to choose from on there. You can select one of four Spellbinder designs to be printed on your item. Three of these four designs are available in water-resistant sticker format so you can decorate other belongings, such as water bottles too. Prices range from £0.76 to £40.81, and RedBubble ships to most countries worldwide, offering you the opportunity to purchase in your own currency. There is something to suit everyone on there, so it is well worth taking time to browse. Don’t forget to share your purchases on social media. We recommend you take a nice walk, hopefully in the sunshine, sporting our Spellbinder merchandise whilst reading our fantastic Spring issue.
